Why work with me

You work with one dependable bookkeeper, start to finish: me. Nearly 30 years of caring for children taught me patience, care and trust, and I bring all three to books that are behind, tangled or never set up right.

Who I help

Two kinds of clients. One standard.

Nonprofits and small businesses keep very different books, and both deserve numbers they can trust. Pick the one that sounds like you.

For nonprofits

Clear books for the people who trust you with their gifts.

Nonprofit bookkeeping that keeps every dollar recorded, reconciled and reported clearly, so your board, your donors and your accountant see the same numbers you do.

For small businesses

Books that are done every month, not just at tax time.

Monthly bookkeeping, payroll support and clear financial statements, so you know where your business stands and can make the next decision with confidence.

Sound familiar?

If this is you, you’re in good company.

  • Months behind

Statements keep coming, the books stay untouched, and catching up feels bigger every week.

  • Numbers that don’t match

QuickBooks says one thing, the bank says another, and you’re not sure which one to believe.

  • Report day

The board, a funder or the bank wants clear numbers, and you need them by Friday.

  • Your evenings

You started this to serve people, not to spend Sunday nights sorting transactions.

What to expect

Clear. Organized. Detailed.

  1. A bookkeeper by a window explains something on a phone call with a warm smile.

    Clear

You’ll always know where your numbers stand, explained in plain words instead of accounting jargon.

  2. A calm, ordered oak desk with a closed laptop, a phone, a mug and a small plant.

    Organized

Every account reconciled and every transaction in its place, month after month. When your accountant, banker or board asks, the answer is ready.

  3. A bookkeeper reads her laptop screen with careful concentration, one fingertip at her lip.

    Detailed

Small things matter in bookkeeping. I check the details so the big picture you rely on is right.

About

Patience with the mess. Precision with the numbers.

Jenny Smith

Founder & bookkeeper

I’m a bookkeeper in Inola, Oklahoma, and through cloud-based bookkeeping I serve business owners and nonprofits across the United States. For nearly 30 years I worked in childcare, where I learned patience, care and trust. Those same values shape how I keep your books today: dependable, detail-oriented and someone you can trust with the financial health of your organization.

I was born in Colorado and moved to Oklahoma with my husband and our three children to be closer to family. I’m still a lifelong Broncos fan. Most importantly, I’m a follower of Jesus, and I strive to serve every client with integrity, humility and excellence.

Questions

Good questions, plain answers.

No. I’m based in Inola and serve the Tulsa area, and I work with clients anywhere in the U.S. through secure virtual bookkeeping.

Yes. Nonprofit bookkeeping is one of my core services. Clear, organized records make it easier to report to your board and your donors with confidence.

Not at all. Catch-up bookkeeping is one of my services. We’ll start from where you are and bring everything current.

I work in QuickBooks Online. I can set it up for you from the start, or clean up a file that’s gotten messy.

It means checking every bank and credit card account in your books against the real statement, line by line, until the two match. It’s how you know your numbers are right.

I focus on bookkeeping. I’ll keep your books clean and organized so your tax preparer has exactly what they need.

Nothing. It’s a free 30-minute conversation about your books and what would help most.
